William Rose Obituary


William Leon Rose, 55, of Danville, IL, took his eternal rest on Monday, February 20, 2023.


William was born May 19, 1967, in Danville, IL to the late Lee O. Rose, Sr. and Nazaree Elizabeth Lyle Rose. He attended Danville Schools and graduated from Danville High School. He was a Certified Engineer for CSX Locomotive for 28 years. He previously worked for Crystal Lake at Kickapoo, Rent-A-Center, and the Sheraton Inn which is now the Days Inn.

William attended Mason Temple COGIC in his youth where he sang in the Primary, Youth Choir, and Sunshine Band. He later attended St. Synagogue COGIC where he sang in the Youth Choir and participated in Sunshine Band. He also participated in youth sports such as The Tornado’s, Cooper Randle Baseball Team, and flag Football known as the Danville Bulls.

William was previously married to Barbara Jo (Jodi) Baugh Rose who preceded him. From this union, they had four children, Tremaine Rose, Trent Rose, Trai Rose, and Tah’Yah Rose all from Danville, IL.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 5 years, Michelle Camareno Rose; children, Angelo Camareno Rose and Bentley Camareno Rose, and bonus children, Keagen Camareno, Kianna Camareno, and Nevaeh Camareno all of Danville, IL.

He also leaves his siblings, Phillip Rose Sr, of O’Fallon, IL, Valerie Smith of Danville, IL, Crystal (Jimmy) Atcher of Danville, IL, Sonya (Jeffery) Tyler of Danville, IL, Lisa Rose of Murfreesboro, TN, Lee O. Rose Jr. of Danville, IL, Timothy (Brooke) Rose of Danville, IL, Deborah Rose of Danville, IL, Mark (Erin) Rose of Danville, IL, Thaddeus Rose Sr. of Danville, IL, Christopher Rose of Indianapolis, IN and Priscilla Rose of Danville, IL; 11 grandchildren; and, many nieces and nephews to whom he was a special father figure when he took them in and helped raise them as his own with many camping trips, BBQ’S, rides, and family get-togethers.

A Homegoing Celebration will commemorate at 12:00 Noon Thursday March 2, 2023 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave. Eulogist: Elder Tommie Reed. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Springhill Cemetery.

 

A public viewing will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesday March 1, 2023 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St, Danville.
