Wiley "Pops" Peeples

Wiley (Pops) Peeples was born on March 13, 1932 in Wynne, Arkansas to the late Francis and William Peeples. Wiley was 1 of 11 children born from this union and was the last 1 to leave this world. When Wiley was 18, he left Arkansas and moved to the Champaign-Urbana area under the advisement of 1 of his brothers, Euliss. Once here, he started working for the Labor Hall and kept that job until retirement, giving them 60+ years of his life. In 1993, he married Loretta Wiseman and 2 daughters were born from this marriage. There blended family consisted of 7 amazing children.  Wiley having 2 from previous relationships and Loretta having 3. Wiley's hobbies included: fishing, hunting, gardening, watching baseball, playing cards and Dominoes. He also had a habit of talking more junk than anybody else around him and trying to talk everyone who was around into eating. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and all of his siblings. Wiley leaves loving memories to be cherished by his daughters: Lisa Peeples, Lawanda Peeples, Lakesha Wiseman, Quanikka Underwood, and Nisey Harris; and sons: Robert Wiseman and DeMario Huff and 17 grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held from 11AM-1PM, Thursday November 19, 2020 at Leek & Sons- Urbana.
