Vivian Darlene Brooks, 61, of Elizabethtown, KY passed from this life into eternal life on Monday October 4,2021 at Baptist Health Hardin.
Vivian was born on November 26,1959, in Milwaukee Wisconsin, to the union of Moses and Pearlean Reed.
Vivian was a graduate of Danville High School. Before moving to Kentucky, she was a member of New Life Church of Faith, it was there where she accepted our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. Vivian had a caring heart and would do anything for anyone; therefore, she was loved and received by so many people. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, cooking, grilling, watching karate movies as well as track and field.
In the later part of her life, she was united in holy matrimony to Marcus Brooks. The couple was married on September 14, 2007.
Vivian leaves to cherish her memory: a daughter, Shauntae’ Reed of Elizabethtown, KY; three sons Nikia Reed, Robert Reed, and Shavar Reed all of Danville, IL; 25 grandchildren, Ezreyona Reed, Shatorreyia Fields, Mitchell Walker III, Dimone Walker, Camree Lee, Kimora Mott, Cortavion Reed, DeVondre Reed, Nikia Reed, Maliki Lowenstein, Tyjuan Reed, Kimirra Oats, Adrianna Reed, Antonio Reed, Robert Reed Jr, Antwan Reed, Kylena Reed, Mercedes Zettler, Ronnell Jackson, Evin Reed, Kwinton Reed, Elyzia Reed, Sophia Curry, Julian Reed, and Abriella Reed; 10 great grandchildren; Khy’Lyn Clark, Albert Gardner III, Youree Bell, De’Moni Walker, Eu’ Zariae’ Winters, Eugene Winters Jr., Eu Mariye Winters, Princtyn Fields, Royce Fields, Ciyah Reed. Six brothers, Bobby (Karen) Perkins, Melvin (Gladys) Red, Moses (Dora) Red, Keith (Lytonia) Reed, Willie Red, Phillip Reed; five sisters, Mary Jane (James) Ellerbe, Alice Forrest, Patricia Reed, Sheila Reed, Rose McBride.
She was preceded in death by; her husband, Marcus Brooks; her parents, Moses and Pearlean Reed, two brothers; Raymond Red and Antowan Reed; two sisters, Armenna Brown and Juanita Townsend; a granddaughter Deziraye Love Reed; two great granddaughters Mai’Joi Winters and Dymoni Walker.
A Homegoing Celebration will commence at 12:00 Noon Friday October 15, 2021 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Eulogist: Elder Tommie Reed. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Danville National Cemetery.
