Verlinda Jones

To her family she was known as "Poo Poo" and to her friends "Vee".

Verlinda Jones passed this life on March 17, 2021 at 12:08 PM. She was born on November 9, 1968 to Virgil Jones and Magnolia Anderson.

She attended Grammar School and High School in Chicago IL., She furthered her education at Carteret Community College where, Verlinda obtained her associates degree.

In 2003, Verlinda was united in Holy Matrimony to Sean Hoskin though to this union no children were born, Sean remains an active part of her daughter’s lives, a great example of a father.

Verlinda leaves behind to mourn four children; Kusheta Jones, Venita O’neal, Eshana O’neal, and Ajha Scott(Sean). She also leaves behind to mourn four siblings; Rita Buckley, McWestly Jones(Shirley), Norma Boston( Willie), and Alton Jones(Andrea), Thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We will miss you greatly "Poo Poo"

A Homegoing Celebration will commence at 12:00 noon on Friday March 26, 2021 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St., Danville. Officiating Pastor Ricky Hoskins. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Atherton Cemetery.

COVID restrictions will be enforced.
