Vanessa Charlene Brown

Vanessa Charlene Brown was born on November 24, 1966 in Charleston Missouri to Charlie Brown and Odessa Brown. Vanessa grew up in Cairo IL, with six brothers and one sister.

She  graduated high school at Cairo High School. She later moved to Champaign where she met and married Tonnie L. Brown. Vanessa workdd as a home care provider for numerous years. Later she worked as a customer service representative at Circle K. Vanessa was known for her bubbly personality and her bright smile. She always spoke her mind , and everyone counted on her for advice and encouragement.

Vanessa leaves to Cherish her memories one son Demarko Brown, five brothers; Charlie, Edward, Stan, Peter, and Choppa. Seven grandsons, one granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Vanessa is preceded in death by her husband Tonnie, mother Odessa, father Charlie, brother Ricky, and her and only sister Nell.

A Celebration of Life will commence at 12:00 Noon Friday February 3, 2023 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 1215 W. Bradley Ave, Urbana. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Mount Hope Cemetery.
