Tyra Lynette Duckworth

Tyra Lynette Duckworth went to be with the Lord October 27, 2020. She was born September 8, 1976 to Sharon Butler and Larry Young. Tyra was a active member of Apostolic Faith Church and she found God at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church. In 1994 Tyra graduated from Central High School and was due to graduate with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business in May 2021 from Colorado Technical University.Tyra loved music, reading and loved fashion. When she got her hair styled and dyed along with her manicure & pedicure you knew she was Classy-Sassy. She loved family and was an encouragement to all of her family. Tyra was very resourceful, if you were having any issues Tyra would direct you to the right resource for assistance. She was an avid income tax preparer and loved preparing income taxes for family and friends. Tyra worked for Jackson Hewitt Tax Services for more than five years. She was on her way to becoming a great entrepreneur, Ms. Lady “T” Gems.Tyra leaves behind to cherish her memories: her daughters Geneva Adkinsson, and Nevaeh Travis her Mother Sharon Butler and Father Larry Young; Brothers J.C. Charles Young, Nick (Haylee) Young, Kenny Butler; Sisters LaNayta (Ramone) Gibbs, Aeisha Butler, Shatoka Butler, Latonya Butler. Two grandmothers, Granny Pinkie Lee Duckworth and Mrs. Cloverdale Young and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.Tyra was preceded in death by her sister Andrea Young and grandfathers J.C. Young and Cloanger “Railhead” Duckworth. 

A public viewing will be held at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St. Danville, IL from 1pm to 5pm on Wednesday November 4, 2020.

Due to CDC regulations, restrictions will be enforced.
