Towanda was born March 18,1970 in Champaign Illinois, to the late Percy and Bertha Frazier.
Towanda was the youngest twin and the youngest of six children. She graduated from Urbana High School in 1988. She furthered her education in child development, and then decided to take that course hands on, and out came a beautiful baby girl , she named Courtney.
In 1993 Towanda met what would become her long life partner Michael Fairman. And from their love union also came two loving children, she named Malik and Mo'Neya.
Towanda worked at Parkland College in the physical plant for twenty years, with her sister (Jazz). Whom she shared a special connection with. Towanda loved spending time with her family and most of all her three grandchildren. Towanda would spend time traveling to blues festivals with her sisters every summer. Towanda was a lovable and friendly person. Very easy to talk to and be around. She was very funny, omg could she make you laugh without even trying to. Towanda never met a stranger and everyone who came in contact with her loved her. She was sure to leave an everlasting impression, along with her scent.
Towanda is survived by her long time partner Michael Fairman. Children Courtney , Malik (Aricka) Mo'Neya, Bonus children Kotia, Michael, Jamika, David, Kendrick, and Myiesha, Grandchildren Marquan, Malik jr. , and Myra. Siblings Maria (James), Patricia , and Jacqueline ( Kenneth).
Towanda proceeded in death by Mother and father Percy and Bertha Frazier, Sisters Vanessa and Twin Toya, and Brother in-law James Avant.
A Celebration of Life will commence at 12:00 noon on Friday July 9, 2021 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 1215 W. Bradley Ave. Urbana. Eulogist: Pastor Keith Thomas.
A visitaiton will held on Thursday July 8, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Leek & Sons Funeral Home
Burial will proceed after services at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
