Terry Dean Patton was born on July 22, 1958 to Helen and A.D. Patton in Blytheville, Arkansas.
After receiving his GED, Terry enlisted in the U.S. Army for six years. While in the service, he was stationed in Germany and Ft. Hood, Texas.
Terry was a mechanic by trade. He loved fixing cars.
He was a loving father, uncle, grandfather and brother. Everyone loved to be around him. Terry was humble and kind. He believed in keeping the peace.
Terry leaves to cherish his memory, children, Lakeisha Renee Patton, Nathanial Dean Patton and Terrance Patton, Jr.; sisters, Cathy (Victor) Bradley, Sr. of Rantoul, IL, Clida Patton of Danville, IL, Inez (Ted) Brown of Danville, IL and Carrie Patton Farmer of Blytheville, AR; brothers, Larry Patton of Danville, IL, KC (Ethel) Patton of Florida, Gary Patton of Texas, Rick (Amanda) Patton of Champaign, IL, Nick (Donna) Patton of Joplin, IL, JD (Betty) Patton of Danville, IL, KC (Ethel) Patton of Florida and AD (Tanya) Patton of Danville, IL; several grandchildren; love of his life, Denise Higgins of Rantoul, IL and her loving family of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Helen and A.D. Patton; sisters, Bessie (Patton) Bullock, Helen Ruth (Patton) Joseph and Mozella (Patton) Durgan; and brothers, Albert Patton, Theodore Van Patton and Robert Patton.
A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon August 10, 2024 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Eulogist: Elder Clyde Pete Jones. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Sanhill Memorial Park.
