Terrell Lee Thompson

Terrell Lee Thompson, 64, of Danville, IL was born July 3rd, 1958, in San Francisco California to the union of Gloria Jean Thompson and Jimmie Lee Thompson. At a young age, Terrell lived in Cleveland Ohio and later moved to Danville. When Terrell was 12, he met the love of his life Vicki (Atcher) Thompson.

Terrell was a very private person, however he loved sports, so much that he would spend hours playing Tecmo-Bowl and watching his favorite football team, the 49ers with his sons. Terrell also loved the art of Tae-Kwon-Do. He won many trophies and became a black belt and instructor at Boyd’s Tan-Kwon-Do.

Terrell received his high school equivalent then later received his CDL license and drove semi-trucks for a few years.

Terrell leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 42 years, Vicki Thompson, 9 children, Dahinte(Angela) Thompson of Rantoul IL. Jermaine King of Seattle WA, Treva(Pastor David) Moore, Maurice Thompson, Latera (Nathan) Kidd, Jimmy Thompson, Toreha “Nae” (Thomas) Roundtree, Leezaira Thompson and Terriel Thompson all of Danville. Terrell had 24 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one on the way. Terrell will also be missed by his brother Darrell LaWayne (Lesley) Thompson of Indianapolis IN, sisters Tamara Banks of Indianapolis IN, Terri Duckworth of Danville IL, and Desiree Taylor of Miami FL. Terrell leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Terrell is preceded in death, by his mother Gloria Thompson-Brown, and father Jimmie Thompson, a Brother Dana Thompson, two sisters Sherri Duckworth and LaShawn Thompson, grandson Durrell Thompson and great-grand son Kam’Ron Rose.

A Homegoing Celebratio will commence at 12:00 Noon Tuesday April 11, 2023 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St., Danville. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service.
