Tammy Louise Davis

Tammy Louise (Whorrall) Davis, 59, of Danville, passed away in her home on May 19, 2026. Born July 18, 1966, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Tammy was the daughter of Sheila Goff.
Tammy married Richard E. Davis when she was just 18 years old. Together they built a life centered around love and family. They spent many years together raising their children and grandchildren and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and memories.

Tammy attended Danville High School and spent most of her life in Danville, where she became known and loved by many as “Aunt Tammy.” She had a nurturing spirit and a heart big enough for everyone. Her home was often the neighborhood gathering place, where children and friends were always welcome. To many, she was more than a relative or friend—she was a second mother. Whether someone needed advice, a helping hand, or simply someone to listen, Tammy was always there. She worked hard to provide for her family, was dependable to her core, and was never afraid to tell it like it was. Those who knew her best will remember her honesty, her strength, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
Tammy spent much of her life working as a waitress and in housekeeping. Caring for others came naturally to her, both in her work and in her everyday life.

Above all else, Tammy loved being a mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her children, Shawna Bryant, Mariah Davis, and Trey Davis, who were truly the center of her world. Being a mother was the greatest blessing of her life, and she poured every part of herself into her children and grandchildren.

To her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as Mee Maw, Mee Mee, and Nee Nee, and nothing made Tammy happier than having her grandbabies together. Her home was always full of laughter, love, and little feet running through it. She cherished every moment spent with Byron Grant, Tania Robinson, Jaeden Morgan, Jayden Carey, Elias Davis, Caiden Davis, Elijah Davis, Cai Davis, Emery Davis, Kingston Williams, and Arian Davis. She was also blessed with her great-grandson, Eiden Robinson. Each of them brought immeasurable joy to her life and filled her days with love, laughter, and treasured memories.

Tammy also had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved pet dogs, who brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Davis; her mother, Sheila Goff; and her siblings, Larry Lee and Elizabeth Lee.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Shawna Bryant, Mariah Davis, and Trey Davis; her siblings Larry D. Whorrall, Melinda Whorrall, Keith Whorrall, Miles Whorrall, Larry R. Whorrall, Kimberly Whorrall, Lisa Lee, Aaron Whorrall, Travis Whorrall, and Rachel Whorrall; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom she loved dearly. She shared a particularly close bond with her niece, Shannon Whorrall, and Shannon’s children, who held a special place in her heart.

In accordance with Tammy’s wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A small private family viewing was held at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, just as she would have wanted.
Tammy will be remembered for her selfless heart, fierce love for her family, devotion to those she loved, and the warmth she gave so freely to everyone around her. Her loss leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
