Susan Parker

Susan Parker, 62, of Danville, IL passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Arcadia Care Nursing Home in Danville, IL. She was born in Danville, IL on July 16th, 1960, to Margaret Lee (Ingram) Smith and Smith Evans Sr. Susan was united in love with Thomas Parker Jr., her companion and husband for over 40 years.

Susan was a devout Jehovah Witness. She loved being around family, especially her loving husband. She always had a smile on her face! Susan was the definition of “to know her was to love her”. She made everyone feel loved, and she loved everyone unconditionally. She always made the most of every situation.

 Susan leaves behind her loving husband, Thomas Parker Jr. Her children Charles (Kimberly) Shepard Jr., Tyrone (Jannea) Parker, Ammie Parker, Tylesha Parker, and Saretha McGruder. Her brothers Dorsey (Patricia) Boyd, Larry (Patricia) Boyd. Her sisters Clair Beasley, Dorothy Beasley, Margaret Boyd, Evelyn (Oliver “Stretch”) Buford, Brenda Evans, Barbara Evans, Sister-In-Law Patricia Smith. Nine Grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother and father. Her brothers Ossie Boyd, Smith Evans Jr., Edward Smith, Brother-In-Law Lawrence (Joe) Beasley; and sister Cheryl Smith.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday March 1, 2023 at Leeks & Sons Funeral home, 304 E Williams St., Danville, IL, 61832. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the time of the service. Repast will be proceeding at New Life Banquet Center, located at 1419 N Bowman Ave, Danville, IL , 61832.
