Steven Allen Davis was born in Danville, Illinois, to the late Joseph S. Davis Sr. and Clentteria Davis.
Steven attended Danville Schools. After high school, he enlisted in the Army and was honorably discharged. Steven worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the VA Medical Center, Champaign County Nursing Home and Prairie View. He also worked at Carle as a Sterilization Technician.
Steven was formerly married to Shirley Davis; Stephanie Davis came from that union.
He was also was formerly married to Annette (Parker) Davis. From that union, Steven Allen Davis Jr., Janelle Lanette Davis, and Joshua Allen Davis were born.
Steven then married Maria (Thompson) Davis, who preceded him in death. From that union, he gained stepchildren, Nanci, Janet and Matt Thompson, Lee Anne and Ken Wilson.
Steven leaves to cherish his memories: sister, Kay (John) Shepard; three brothers, Rev. Joseph Davis Jr., Brian (Sheila) Taylor, and John (Mandy Huls) Taylor; his children; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a special friend Zella Cotton and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Clay Esta Davis and Diane Davis; one granddaughter; and, one great-granddaughter.
A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon Friday March 8, 2024 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Eulogist: Rev. Joseph Davis Jr. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service.
