Stephanie "Tap Tap" Hampton

Stephanie "Tap Tap" Hampton was born on May 4, 1978, in Danville IL to Bruce Hampton and Ernestine McClendon.

Tap Tap enjoyed music, dancing, and spending time with special friends and family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Courtnesha Rowell and Courtland Rowell, Jr.; grandchildren, Tyrese Griffin, Jermario Webb, Jermani Rowell, D'Syre Hardy, D'Fero Hardy, and Blessyn Hardy; siblings; Freddy McClendon, Sam McClendon, Tony McClendon, Finnus McClendon, Geneva McClendon and April Hampton; special siblings, Angie Rowell, Tasha Carter, Jerome Rowell, Darlene Newsome, Stephanie Burford, Tina Jones, Mary Cox and Doretha Hill; special family, Joyce Finch; uncle, Jimmy Williams; aunt, Susie Beasley; special nephew, Sergio McClendon; and, best friend, Talana Crider.

She is preceded in death by Courtland Rowell, Sr.; nephew, Joshua Forman; and, cousin, Aaron Graham.

A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 noon Monday November 20, 2023 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St., Danville. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service.
