Sandra "Sandy" Johnson

Sandra “Sandy” Johnson, 63 of Champaign, IL, was lended to us on December 9, 1957. Sandra is the daughter of Raymond and Ethel Johnson. Sandy’s heavenly streetlight came on October 2, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Sandra accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago and was additionally baptized. She was a faithful member of the Dublin Street Church of Christ.

 Sandy had a heart of gold and knew no strangers. Always joking and talking her smack! Sandy contained something that couldn’t be bought or taught and that was her genuine selflessness, always placing others before herself, even on her death bed. She was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed.

Sandy loved spending time with family, playing games, teasing her grandkids, watching movies, talking on the phone, and reading/studying her bible.

Sandy leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother Ethel Johnson, her children Leequon Johnson, Charisma Johnson-Luster, and Genesis Luster, her siblings Huston (Barbra) Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Willa Mae (Robert) Campbell, Rosilyn Johnson, Jean Johnson, Rhonda Johnson, and her baby sister Angela (Thomas) McElrath; Seventeen Grandchildren, 2 great grandbabies and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will commence at 12 noon, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Leek & Sons Funeral Home-Urbana. Visitation will begin at 11 am until the start of the service. Officiating Pastor Rickey E. Parks. Interment Lincoln Cemetery.
