Roberta Marie Carter Jones

Roberta "Marie" Carter Jones transitioned from this life February 28, 2022.

She was born January 27, 1964, to Glenda White and Robert Carter. Marie was educated in Birmingham, Alabama and Chicago, Illinois schools. She later obtained an LPN license. Her best job on Earth, however was making people smile, laugh and stay in good  spirits. This was the display of Marie's personality and kindness was in the very fabric of her being, which she exuded throughout her life's journey. She kept pushing until she could  make things happen.

Marie's hobbies were making and sending greeting cards to her love ones and shopping. She was a member of Sovereign Grace Fellowship Church in Danville, Illinois.

Marie is survived by her mother Glenda Mitcham Of Atlanta, Georgia, father Robert Carter of Danville, Illinois, 3 daughters; Yolanda Titi Layo Maire Aghedo of Las Vegas, Nevada, Shelley Marie Duckworth of Scottsville, Kentucky, and Donna Marie Duckworth of Charleston, South Carolina, 2 sons: Maurice James Carter of Chicago, Illinois and Sheldon Leroy Jones Jr. of Peoria, Illinois, 2 brothers; Jeffery of Atlanta, Georgia and Joey of Miami, Florida, 13 grandchildren Sayviona Marie Aghedo, Gregory Lequez Aghedo, Grey'Don Lequez Aghedo, Zharie Marie Aghedo, Musical Machelle Martin, Quentel Nicholas Martin, Miracle Elizabeth, Shelby Ann Rose Campbell, Zyleigha Ariel Wynter Jones, Jewels Chandelier Marie Jones, Martel Sharef Smalls Jr., Londyn Marie Wimberly, and a host of relatives and friends.

Marie is loved and will be truly missed.

A memorial service will commence at 12:00 Noon on Monday March 7, 2022 at Sovereign Grace Fellowship Church 115 W. North Street Danville IL. Eulogist: Pastor Gary Forman.
