In Loving Memory of Quintin Leander Berry Sr.
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Quintin Leander Berry Sr., who was born in Danville, Illinois on April 2, 1960, and departed this life on October 29, 2025, at the age of 65. He was surrounded by the love of his family in his final days.
Quintin was a man of immense humor, wisdom, and faith, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and compassion.
A Correctional Officer for the Broward County Sheriff’s Office for nearly 30 years, Quintin served his community with dedication and pride. He had a great love for sports—especially basketball—and found joy in coaching younger players and sharing his passion for the game. He was also an enthusiastic Fantasy Football champion, always ready for a friendly competition.
Quintin’s kindness, generosity, and laughter touched everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary Karine Berry and Alfred Berry, and three sisters; Aline Kirkland, Teretha Marshall and Alinda Modest. He is survived by his loving children Quintin Berry Jr., Tabitha Berry, and Ladarius Berry, and his cherished granddaughter London Berry. He also leaves behind his sisters Beverly Jean Berry, Ramona Berry Amankonah and Delores Jones-Daubaris, niece Ja’Naea Modest, nephew Kwabena Kumi Amankonah, and many other relatives and friends who will carry forward his legacy of love, joy, and peace.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, his memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him. We find comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. We will honor his legacy by embracing life with the same passion, faith, and kindness that he so beautifully exemplified.
Rest in peace, dear Quintin. You will forever be in our hearts.
