Peggy Ann Wright

Peggy Ann Wright was born to the late Irene Watson-Wright and Clarence Wright on May 21, 1955.  She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with family laughing and joking. Her favorite peace time was to sit outside and two of her favorite snacks was moon pies, Milky Way and Smiley Cookies.  She also loved to watch Law and Order and dance.

Peggy leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Shavala Wright of Danville, IL, Kayla Wright and Deshaun Wright of Lafayette, IN; four sons, Myron Wright, Kody Wright, and Edward Wright of Danville, IL and Avion Wright of Lafayette, IN; her sister, Kay Wright; nephews, Terry Wright, Gabriel Wright, Marcus Keys and Claxton Wright; nieces, Natasha Echols, Robin Farr, Martha Rose, Leandrea Wright, Shari Wright and Clarisha Wright.  Peggy also leaves to cherish her memories, grandchildren, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of cousins.

Peggy Wright was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Wright; sister, Martha Wright; brother, Clarence Wright; and, nephew, Zarius Brown.

A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon Saturday June 29, 2024 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St., Danville. Eulogist: Elder Fredrick Cowen. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service.
