Pamela Kay Taylor, 65, transitioned to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 11:00 p.m., surrounded by family and friends at her home.
Pamela was born to Quester Taylor and Mary Lee Mullins on December 5, 1958, in Danville, IL. She attended Danville High School, where she graduated.
Before falling ill, Pamela was employed at the VA Illiana Healthcare System, where she later retired. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Church under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Keys and First Lady Rose Keys.
She had many hobbies, such as fishing, grilling out, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She was always the life of the party.
Pamela will be missed by everyone she came in contact with. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Michael B. (Erica) Taylor, Sr.; daughter, Iris N. (Theo) Taylor; brothers, Ellis (Jackie) Taylor, Ricky
(Cindy) Taylor, Gary Taylor, David Mullins, and Antonio Mullins; special friends, Debbie Paknet and Debbie Towns; grandchildren, Iyshon Lane, Michael Taylor, Jr., Mekhi Taylor and Ghaliyah "Gigi" Cunningham; great-grandson whom she adored, Kamden Taylor; and, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Quester Taylor and Mary Mullins; sisters, Doris Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, and Mary Taylor; brothers, Wayne Taylor, Kevin Taylor, and Cecil Mullins; and, love of
her life, David A. “Preacher D” Johnson.
Only God knows the aches in our hearts, but God knew what was best for her. Rest now, Pamela, your fight is over. We love you.
A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon Friday January 19, 2024 at New Jerusalem Worldwide Ministry 1033 Walnut St., Danville. Eulogist: Pastor Bobby R. Keys Sr. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Sanhill Memorial Park.
