Pamela “Pam” Elaine Smith, 71, of Urbana, Illinois, peacefully transitoned on February 12, 2021. Pam was born on April 14, 1949 in Paducah, Kentucky to Ella Williams and John F. Thomas.

Pam married Thomas Smith in 1987 and raised a blended family of six children. Pam loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Pam leaves behind her mother, Ella Whiteside. A son Jeremiah Whiteside, and daughters, Angela Whiteside, ConSonja Davis, Carol Smith-Hessell, Angela Smith, and Amari Johnson. Two sisters Sandra (Sodie) Merriweather and LaVerlon Coplin. Eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pam is preceded in death by her sister Kim Leflore and father John F. Thomas.

A closed memorial service will be held in Pam’s honor with immediate family.
