Norvel Tyronne Crider (48) was born February 17, 1974 to Rhonda and the late Pastor John Crider, Sr. in Danville, IL. He attended Danville public schools and graduated from Danville High School with the class 1993.
He furthered his education in the ministry, attending Andersonville Theological Seminary in Biblical Studies and later went on to Pastor Freedom Missionary Baptist Church. He was later elevated to Overseer through Kingdom Destiny Fellowship International (KDFI). On August 9, 2008 Norvel Married the love of his life Monique Sims.
Norvel was employed at the Danville Rescue Mission. He was also an active member of the NAACP. He enjoyed studying his Bible, going to church, family time, helping others, and working on cars
Norvel leaves to cherish his wife Monique (Sims) Crider. His children Laverne (Larry) Phillips, Shavella Crider, Lorenzo (Julia) Sims, and Kenya Wheeler, all of Danville, IL. His Mother, Rhonda Crider, of Danville. IL. His siblings Damon (Regina) Crider of Rantoul, IL, John (NiKisha) Crider, Rhonnie (LaSonya) Crider of Danville, IL and RiCharda` (Tywan) Evans of St. Louis, MO.
He also leaves his grandchildren, Tyrone Sims, Ka’mya Phillips, Zha’kiva and Inayah Crider, all of Danville. A beloved God-Daughter, Taylnn Meeks and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pastor John Crider, maternal grandparents Richard and Della Stewart, paternal grandmother Barbara Jean Brooks, great-grandmother Pauline Silverado, nephew JaVeonte Crider, and niece Shakiarra Turner proceed him in death.
A Homegoing Celebration will commence at 12:00 Noon Saturday November 19, 2022 at The Assembly of God Church, 428 N. Walnut St. Danville. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Sanhill Memorial Park.
A public viewing will be held from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Friday November 18, 2022 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St. Danville.
