Ola Mae Jones was born August 14, 1932, in Drew, Mississippi to Virginia Peak and Amos Peak. She was the only child.
Ola Mae Jones gave her life to Christ at an early age.
She was united in matrimony to Earnest Wright. He preceded her in death. To this union, she leaves Earnest Wright Jr. of Danville, and Joann Means of Horn Lake, Mississippi.
In a union with Robert L. Harris, she leaves a daughter, Betty J. Harris.
She was also married to Bennie Jones who preceded her in death. To this union, she leaves a daughter, Monica Jones.
Through it all she remained loving, kind, and was always humble. She had an unconditional love for her family, whatever the situation she never complained.
Ola Mae moved to Danville in the 1950’s. She united and was an active member of the Pentecostal Church Of The Almighty God. She served on the Mother’s Board until she took ill.
Ola Mae's hobby was reading her bible. She was employed at the Sheraton Inn, the Elks 900 Room, and retired from the Days Inn.
Ola Mae was blessed with 17 grandchildren (3 deceased), 56 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
The heavens trembled on June 17, 2024, at 12:45 pm as Ola Mae Jones passed at the blessed age of 92 transitioning from life into eternity.
A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon Saturday June 29,2024 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Eulogist: Bishop Cleveland L. Taylor. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Sanhill Memorial Park.
