Nedra Turner

Nedra Turner was born January 2, 1980 to the late Theresa Turner in Danville, Illinois. Nedra enjoyed reading, writing, playing cards, but her joy came from cooking. She loved feeding people.

Nedra confessed Christ at a very young age. She knew that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit was real. Nedra is preceded in death by her mother Theresa, son, brother Thomas, sister Natasha, grandfather Henry, aunt Nedra, two uncles Eric and Howard ‘Billy’, and a dear friend Andre.

Death is just a bridge across the river to eternal life, Nedra crossed that bridge on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital Chicago, Illinois.

Nedra leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted grandmother, Johnnie Mae Turner of Epes, Alabama, one brother, Marcus Turner of Danville, Illinois, her TT, Debra Turner of Epes, Alabama, two uncles, Melvin Turner of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Anthony Turner of Danville, Illinois, nephew Owen  and niece Lillian Jones both of Danville, Illinois, two godsons Devondre Whitley and Dujour Crandle,  Ri’Charda “Janelle”, 5 great-aunt, 3 great- uncles, and a host of cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

A Homegoing celebration will commence at 12:00 Noon Tuesday November 26, 2019 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St Danville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Officiating: Pastor Norvel Crider. Interment will be at Atherton Cemetery.
