Miriam Eugene Webb

Miriam (Bloop) Eugene Webb 52, of Danville, Illinois received his wings on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Lutheran General Hospital in Des Plains, Illinois.

Miriam Eugene Webb was known too many as Boopa, Bloop, Blooper, Big lord and lord. He was born to the union of Henry Webb, Sr., and Corrine (Withers) Webb on December 20, 1967, in Danville, Illinois at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Miriam attended Danville Public Schools, and truck driving school in St. Louis, Mo. He received his CDL (Commercial Driving License) in 1989.

Miriam met the love of his life, Ms. Portia Lillard, in April 1988, of this union of 32 years was born a loving son, Paul Eugene (Carla Sprewell) Webb, and “his heart,” Parris Othella Webb. He had two other children, a son Jarred Carter and a daughter, Charna Carter.

Miriam was a hard worker. He worked at American Electric Company in South Bend, Indiana until his illness.

Miriam and his son Paul Eugene both accepted Christ together and was baptized at Maranatha Missionary Baptist Church in South Bend, Indiana, May 23, 2004.

Miriam loved his family and friends. He truly was a family oriented man. He had a heart of gold. He was not a stranger to anyone. Everyone that crossed his path remembered his smile, his laughter, and his kindness. He was: strong, a fighter, strong minded, never gave up, and fought to the end.

Miriam loved to play cards, watch/play sports, and loved to build various projects for his kids. He loved to play board games, such as, “Trouble, Dominos, and Monopoly.” He was avid sports fan and loved basketball and football. Miriam loved to travel and take vacations.

Miriam leaves to cherish his loving memory, the love of his life, Ms.Portia Lillard, his loving son, Paul Eugene (Carla Sprewell) Webb, and Jarred Carter, “his heart,” Parris Othella Webb, and Charna Carter, his sisters, Anita Ayers, and Mildred (China) Miller, of Sound Bend, IN., his brothers, Calvin (Madge) Webb of Danville, IL., and Kurt (Tammy) Webb of Noblesville, IN., and his sister-in-laws. Shrie Webb of South Bend, IN. Twania Lillard of Rancho Cucamonga,CA., Jill (John)Staple of Stockbridge, GA., and Michelle Lillard, of Danville, Il., his  brother-in-laws, Danny Lillard of Hillsboro, Illinois, Graylen (Renee) Lillard, Craig (Elaine) Lillard, and Jerry  Reed, Sr. of Danville, IL., and a host of nieces and nephews he helped to raise.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Webb Sr and Corrine (Withers) Webb, two brothers Tony and Henry Webb, Jr.

A Private Celebration of Life Service that will be live streamed via Facebook will commence at 11:00a.m Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home.  Officiating: Pastor Leo Davis.  Viewing will be from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020, at the funeral home.

DUE to COVID 19 regulations ALL family members and friends who plan to attend VIEWING are REQUIRED to practice extreme precaution by wearing protective mask, gloves and practicing social distancing.  Please be considerate of others, as only ten people will be allowed inside the funeral home at a time.
