Michael L. Huffman was born on July 24th, 1980, to the loving parents of Barbara (Jesse) Cooper and William Huffman in Urbana, Illinois. Michael was introduced to the Lord at a young age and grew up to be a God-fearing man.
Michael had a smile that would light up an entire room.Whenever he walked into any room, he owned it. His presence was always felt. He was a vibrant, calm, loving, soft-spokenperson who loved his family. He loved to smile, make jokes, and be goofy. Rather, it was him dancing with you or having a conversation with you; you felt the love he had. He always wanted to make the people around him happy. He was someone you could talk to about anything and would be there if you needed him to. Michael would have the best advice for you.Michael was loved by many, and he carried God with him as he lived his life.
Michael was a jack of all trades. Michael played basketball when he was in high school and had a passion for music. Growing up, he was very athletic. He also played the drums and loved to dance and sing. He loved animals he would come home with just about anything he found. Michael had so much love for everything he encountered, and we will miss and cherish that forever.
Michael loved his mother. Being her only child, they were like two peas in a pod. Their bond was unmatched, and everyone knew how close they were. Michael loved his mom, and he made sure she knew that every chance he had. She was his biggest support in anything he wanted to do. They did everything together; they enjoyed their life together. She was so special to him, as he was to her. He was her “One in a million, “as she would say.
Michael leaves behind his parents, Barbara (Jesse)Cooper of Champaign, IL, and William Huffman of Champaign, IL, his children, Alexis Burns, India Huffman, and Jeremiah Elzy, his grandson, Koa Lotts, his siblings, Stephanie Huffman, William Thomas, and Britiney Grant, as well as a host of nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Marion, his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Huffman, and his nephew, Kendell Adams.
“Never Good-Bye, always see you later.” -Michael Huffman
