Melvin McCullough was born in Chicago Illinois, on January 23, 1986 to Mason (Marvin) Washington/ McCullough and Martha (Dottie) Miller. He accepted Christ at an early age.
Melvin attended West Pullman Academy and then went on to OT Bright and finished his schooling at Washington High.
As a kid Melvin enjoyed watching his dad work on cars and later in life that became his hobby as well. He worked at Ace Tire Shop where he did detail and maintenance on cars. He fixed cars as well as sold new and used tires.
He later moved to Danville in his young adult years in 2001, where he progressed on and got him a job at Burger King in Tilton as a manager. Then he decided to broaden his horizons and became a production worker at CCU where he stayed for a while. Yet that wasn’t enough for Melvin he felt like he was missing something, so he decided to take a break from working and spend time with his mom, sisters, kids, aunty, and cousins and do mechanical work around the house and the neighborhood. Man as we called him was the hood mechanic.
Melvin enjoyed life for what it was and always seem to make the best out of any situation. He helped a lot of people and touched a few hearts along the way.
Melvin McCullough was called home on Thursday October 27, 2022.
