Mary Lee Jones-Coleman was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 14, 1960. She was raised by her mother, Ethel Mae Jones-Person and Maurice Person. She met and married George Parker Coleman in 1995 in Chicago. He loved her dearly. God blessed her with three won- derful children and two stepchildren. Mary also worked several jobs in both Chicago through the years, prior to succumbing to a long illness. Mary loved to play cards, go fish- ing, cook, sing, and go to church. She was a friendly person who loved being around her grandchildren. She also liked to help other people in need.
Mary leaves behind to cherish her precious memories her husband, Parker George Coleman of Danville, Illinois, three children: Roy Jones and Angel Jones of Danville, and Stephanie (Jacob) Busitski of Minneapolis, Minnesota, two stepchildren: Shaniqua Coleman of North Carolina and Eneka Stovall of Rockford, Illiinois.
Mary also leaves behind the following beautiful grandchildren: Sabrina Busitski, Michael Busitski, Tyrone Busitski, Maliyah Washington, Princeton Washington, King Washington, Marcus Hunt, Kya Blain, Anthony Blain, Kaloni Faison, Aniya Stovall, Xavier Stovall, Ty’Naeah Stovall, Marcus Hunt, Kya Blain, Anthony Blain, and Kalani Faison. Four brothers: Roy Jones of Chicago, IL, Jeffery Jones of Champaign, IL, Paul Jones of Dixon, IL and Anthony Jones of Champaign, IL, and a host of nieces and nephews, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon Tuesday June 27, 2023 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 311 N. Collett St., Danville. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service.
