Mary Louis Hugger Wright Edwards

Mary Louis Hugger Wright Edwards was born on April 29, 1950 to Virgie Lee White Hugger and Charles Walter Hugger, in St. Louis MO.

Mary gave her life to Christ early in life.
She graduated from Beaumont High School St. Louis MO. She was employed at LaQuinta Inn and after that she began her own Daycare in Champaign IL. After her career as a Daycare provider, she enjoyed her family. Her favorite pastime was her spending time with her grandchildren. Mary never missed a family event She loved being around and enjoying her family.

She married Richard Edwards in 1984.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband Richard Edwards, two brothers Gregory Hugger and Micheal (Debra) Hugger, four daughters, Wanda Renee Lenoir, Tasha Cheri (Ervin) Wright Jackson, Lashanda Marshay (Brian) Wright West and Zandrea Edwards. Her grandchildren Dejuan Wright, Quintrell Wright, Laycell (Rita) Wright, Victoria Wright, Kyle Greer, Tyliea Miller, Shapresha Johnson, Ascia Lenoir and Tatyana Miller. Her eleven great grandchildren. And countless of nephews, nieces, cousin, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her 5 siblings, Barbara White, James (Budd) White, Charles Walter Hugger Jr, Peggy Hugger and Annette Short. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Catherine Elizabeth Wright.

Mary began her eternal sleep on Sunday January 17, 2021.
 

Mathew 11:28-30

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

A private celebration of life will commence at 12PM, Tuesday, January 26, at Morning Star Free Will Baptist Church, Urbana, IL. Visitation will begin at 11AM until the start of the service.  Officiating Pastor Jimmie O. Holmes. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held from 2-4pm, Monday January 25, at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, Urbana,
