Marvin Ellery Dye was called home early in the morning on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
Marvin, 38, was born on May 14, 1984 to Thelma (Rose) and CL Dye, Sr. in Danville. He attended Danville Public Schools, in which he graduated from Danville High School.
Marvin worked for the businesses that his parents established in the Danville Community. He enjoyed working alongside his mother and father. He felt that anything he did for them was his way of showing how much he loved them.
Marvin enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and taking care of his pets, especially his parrot named Romeo.
Marvin will be greatly missed by his father, CL Dye, Sr.; twin daughters, Chloeabella and Kalaiyluhn Dye; sister, Marnetta Blakely; brothers, CL (Marla) Dye, Jr., Anthony M. Jones and Damon Beard; and, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Marvin was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma L. Rose Dye; son, Malakai Dye; brother, Zyrone Petty; and, maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will commence at 12:00 Noon Saturday December 3, 2022 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave. Eulogist: Pastor Odell Dye. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of service. Interment: Springhill Cemetery.
A public viewing will be held at Leek & Sons Funeral 304 E. Williams St. Friday December 2, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
