Marva Ellis Obituary

Marva Reams Ellis was born on August 8, 1936 to the  union of Pastor Frank and Arnella Reams, in Humnoke, Arkansas, who both preceded her in death. Marva was the oldest daughter of ten girls and one boy to this union. Marva accepted Christ at an early age, she loved God and led a very God-fearing life and anyone who had the joy of knowing her loved her. Marva
transitioned to eternal life on November 8, 2021.

Marva always prayed that her name would never be erased from God’s Book of Life. She always gave thanks and glorified God in everything she did. Marva was a person who always focused on the rainbow and never the storm. For many years, Marva and her husband Robert (who preceded her in death), we're outstanding business owners at Bob’s Cleaners in
Harvey, Illinois. She loved to sew and was an outstanding seamstress and tailor. Marva also loved history, so she was always reading and keeping up with politics.

Marva was preceded in death by her first husband Mr. Frank Henry and her late husband, Mr. Robert Arnold Ellis. Also preceding her in death were four sisters, Mattie Reams Ellis (who she adored), Jacqueline Reams Lifanda, Jo Evelyn Reams, and Rosine Reams, and her one and only brother Herman Reams, also one loving grandson, DeAndre. She is survived by her
children: Wayne, Marquary and Asia. Her sisters: Norma Jean Brown (Willie) and Ruth Lee Bishop (Durthey) of Little Rock, AR, Erma Reams, Beverly Ann Brantley (Hiley) of Chicago, Doris Veley (Robert) of Tinley Park, Il, Evonne Reams of Kingwood, TX.

Marva is also survived by her loving best friend, of 17 years, Margie Dash, countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In mourning her passing let’s not forget to acknowledge the long fruitful life Marva lived. She added so much light and laughter to those around her and she will be missed dearly
