Mark Curtis Derrickson Jr.

Mark Curtis Derrickson Jr. was born August 3, 1971, and unexpectedly passed on April 1, 2023, in Danville, IL.He was 51 years of age.

Mark Jr. is survived by his mother, Phyllis Miles, his step-father Frank Miles, his sister Rosyln Peoples, his nephews Drevontae Peoples, Darion Sherfield, his niece December Thompson and his ex-wife Giselle Derrickson, his children Shantel Derrickson, Lanisha Derrickson, Tambrisha Derrickson, and Detavis Derrickson, and his grandson Jackobi Derrickson.

He is preceded by his grandparents as well as his father, Mark Derrickson Sr.

Mark Derrickson Jr. was well known by the community by many of names. He had a spirit that was louder than his voice. He enjoyed music, sports, entertainment, bowling, games, and the company of others. More importantly, he loved his family. He will be remembered by the many lives his words have touched. He will be deeply missed. However, the time he was able to give will be forever cherished and engraved in our hearts. May he rest on in healing hands.

A memorial service be held on Thursday April 13, 2023 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave, Danville beginning at 6:00 pm.
