Marguerite Wise

Marguerite Wise departed her earthly life on June 16 2025. She was born May 5 1949 to Luther and Hazel Wise. 

Marguerite graduated from Champaign Central High School. She worked for years at Illinois Bell as an operator and service representative. She later began her new journey working at (CERL) Civil Engineer Research Lab as a telecommunications specialist. She retired in 2014. 

 She spent her retirement with friends and family, also exercising at the Leonard Center daily..

Marguerite is survived by her son Justin Wise, sister Marsha Taylor, grandson Yuri Wise, Granddaughter Marguerite Wise, Niece Chandra Taylor, Nephews Corey Butler, Micheal Taylor. 

Marguerite was preceded in death by parents Luther and Hazel Wise, sister Harriet Wise, Nephew Robert Taylor.

A celebration of life will commence at 1:00 pm Friday June 27, 2025 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 1215 W. Bradley Ave. Urbana. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery.
