At 9:30 pm Sunday October 22, 2023, Marcus took his flight from this life into eternity surrounded by his family.
Marcus had been ill for a short period of time while fighting a very courageous fight all the way until the end.
Marcus was a very kind and gentle soul. Everyone loved him as soon as they met him. He never met a stranger. He was very helpful and would sacrifice anything for anyone. His children were his biggest blessings.
Marcus was born on January 12, 1974, to Robert Coe and Marcia (Randle) Keys in Danville, Illinois. He moved to Georgetown Illinois at the age of 6 where he attended Georgetown schools, graduating from Georgetown-Ridgefarm High School in 1992. He was on both the wrestling and football teams. Small in stature, but goodness he was so strong and fast, always being credited by both coaches for his ability to outsmart his opponents.
Marcus attended Danville Area Community College before relocating to Lafayette, Indiana. He was formally married to Melissa A. Blankman and later married Kimberly Corley.
Marcus was always independent and self-reliant. His first job was his own paper route for the Commercial News Newspaper at the age of 10. He was the head custodian in the Tippecanoe School District in Lafayette, Indiana for over five years. He worked for Sygma Warehouse as a forklift driver for over 10 years. He owned Coe Custom Cleaning where he specialized in car detailing, office and home cleaning including power washing services. No one could detail a car like Marcus!
