It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Manuel Hosley, 39, of Champaign, IL, on November 13, 2024. Born on January 7, 1985, in Glen Allen, Mississippi, to Beverly Hosley and Manuel Gaston, he brought joy, laughter, and love to everyone he encountered.
Manuel was the proud owner of "The Shop," his beloved auto spa, where he poured his passion, dedication, and creativity into his work. Outside of his career, Manuel found immense joy in spending time with his children and family. He loved watching boxing, sharing good food, and working on cars, alongside his father.
Manuel’s sense of humor and bright personality were his hallmark traits. He had an unmatched ability to make anyone laugh, lighting up every room he entered. His presence made an enduring impact on the lives of many, and his memory will continue to bring smiles to those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his loving father, Manuel Gaston; his brother, Henry Cage; uncle, James Gatson; and cousin, Marcus Gatson.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his cherished children: DeAndre, Marya, Tavius, Olivia, Malaya, Jayden and Melani; his mother, Beverly Hosley; his fiancée, Mason Yets; his uncle, Leroy Gatson and his siblings, DeChelle Hosley, Latonya Smith, Kentyris Gatson, Allen McKnight, Angela McKnight, Jennifer Cage and Terez Thomas. Manuel was also a beloved cousin, uncle, and friend to countless others who will miss him deeply.
A celebration of Manuel's life will be held at Leek and Sons Funeral Home-Urbana on November 23rd at noon. Visitation will begin at 11am until the start of the service.
