Lorenzo Rudolph Johnson

Lorenzo Rudolph Johnson Jr. affectionately called “Ren”
by his family and friends departed from earthly life on
May 3, 2024, at the age of 49.

Lorenzo was born January 21, 1976 at Burnham Hospital in
Champaign, IL. to the son of Lorenzo Rudolph Johnson,
Sr. and Delorse Walker-Brayfield.

Lorenzo completed school in Champaign and was a 1994
graduate of Central High School. He completed his
Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. He was currently
employed at AZZ Galvanizing in Peoria, Illinois as a
Operation Team Lead for over 15 years and was in
preparation to open up his first restaurant.

Lorenzo loved spending time with his family and friends,
and his children being the high light of his life. He
always had a charitable heart for the community,
wherever he saw a need, he was always the first to
offer to fulfill it and treated everyone as family. He
was a REMARKABLE MAN to his family and community. Always sowing seeds of love through words of encouragement and financial blessings. He promoted unity as one

“HisOldest”, Bernard Ford, Anita Baker; Step-Fathers, Domingo M. Figueroa and David Brayfield, Best Friend Tony Mapson, and host of uncles, aunts, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Lorenzo Johnson,
Sr., mother, Delorse Walker-Brayfield, Maternal and
Paternal Grandparents, and nephew, Lorenzo Dayyne
Omartez Capers.

A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 noon Friday May 17, 2024 at Church of The Living God Church 312 E. Bradley. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Gardens.
