Lamar Westbrook 63, of Danville Illinois was born on February 4, 1958 to Ben Westbrook Sr. and Marjorie Westbrook in Chicago.
Lamar dedicated his life to Christ and he was a member of Antioch missionary Baptist Church. After high school Lamar attended Kennedy King College in Chicago. Lamar worked as a caretaker at home health care. Lamar was a family man and loved to play dominoes, cards, and cancun with his friends and family. He also enjoyed whistling he would whistle all day he whistled so much they called him the whistle man.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his fiancé Tanya Patton, his children Lamar Allen, Jamar Westbrook, Shamarla Hoskins all of Danville. Arcantra Allen, and Kimberly Westbrook both of Indianapolis, and London Patton. His siblings Jenice Crump, Cynthia Golliday, Johnny C. Bagget all from Grenada Mississippi, Delisa Suggs from Scoby Mississippi, and Ronald Westbrook of Arizona. He also leaves to cherish 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ben Westbrook Jr. ,Larry Westbrook, and a sister Angela Paige.
A Celebration of Life will commence at 12:00 Noon on Saturday November 6, 2021 at New Birth Church of God In Christ, 1107 E. Voorhees St. Eulogist: Pastor Clyde Jones. A visitation will begin at 11:00 until the time of service.
Masks will be required.
