Kenny Jones Obituary

The life of Kenny Ray Jones Jr. began on June 10th 1982 to the parents of Kenny Ray Jones Sr. (Monica) of St. Louis, MO and Wanda Hampton (William) of Champaign, IL.

Kenny attended school in the Champaign area. As a kid Kenny enjoyed playing football with his brothers/cousins and going to the boys club. Kenny loved listening to music and if he was feeling real good he would even try to sing or rap to you. Kenny became a father at the age of 16 to his one and only daughter Keniece Jones whom he loved dearly. Kenny eventually became a grandpa & enjoyed every moment of it. One thing fa sho & two things fa certain he was big on family and the few friends he had that eventually turned into family. Whenever you seen Kenny you could almost guaranteed that he was with one of his cousins. He loved being at the “White House” surrounded by family and the sweet memories of his late grandma. He was a very loving and caring person that knew just how to make everyone around him feel good about themselves. Kenny was a great listener and was sure to keep your secrets. He was big on loyalty and keeping it real and had no problem with keeping it real. He stood on business and meant the business he stood on! Kenny considered hisself a SOULJA and those around him acknowledged him as one as well. If Kenny didn’t do anything else he was gone stick to the “G Code” and because of this he was loved and respected. Its a known fact that his mother got to witness him accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savor and it was at this moment Kenny was saved!

Kenny leaves to cherish his loving parents Kenny Ray Jones (Monica) and Wanda Hampton (William) his daughter Keniece Jones, one grandchild Terriah Moten. 5 brothers Delwin Brown, Jacob Hampton, Justis Sayles Jones, Randall Williams, & William Hampton. 3 sisters Charlease Hampton, Okeima Hampton, & Alice Hampton. Some nieces & nephews,  A host of aunts & uncles & a thousand cousins & some friends that will all miss him dearly.

He was proceeded in death by his maternal & paternal grandparents, a brother (Kendall Jones), some aunts & uncles and & few cousins.
