On Monday, August 16, 2021, Kenneth Leroy Porter departed this life at OSF Medical Center.
Kenneth Leroy Porter was born on October 30, 1965 in Danville, IL to DC Keys and Carrie Betty Porter they proceeded him in death. Kenneth Porter was a Godly loving man to all who knew him. He gave advice that you may not have wanted to hear, but knew you needed it and then would give you a hard time about it. He was married to his lovely wife Ginene Porter for 18 years. Kenneth had his own Lawn Care business called Porter Lawn Care LLC, along with a few of his favorite hobbies landscaping and Barbequing. Kenneth was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Church, where he served as a minister and also taught Sunday School to the youth on Sunday mornings.
Kenneth leaves to cherish her memories his wife Ginene Porter, three daughters: Kendra, Cassie, Carrie; Two boys: Tramaine, and Kyle. Six sisters Betty Ann Smith, Pamela (Michael) Dennis, Stacey (Shawn) Chattman, Vickie (Randy) Westley, Brenda (Leslie) Fisher, Karen (Terry) Forman; Four Brothers Leo (Marla)Porter, Stanley (Leetha)Porter, Pastor Bobby (Rose) Keys, Truman (Carolyn) Keys, Jimmy Keys. His loving grandchildren whom he loved so much and spent a lot of time with Jazzy, Tramaine, Zia, Jarece, and Noah. His Mother and Father in-law Robert and Shirley Knight. Kenneth had host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father DC Keys, his mother Carrie Betty Porter, sisters: Patricia Porter-Glover, Joyce, Henrietta; brothers: Vernon Porter, Timothy Porter, Jr. Lee Keys, and D Willie Keys.
A Celebration of Life will commence at 12pm, Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at New Life Church of Faith, Danville, IL. Visitation will begin at 11am until the start of the service. Officiating Pastor Bobby R. Keys. Interment Atherton Cemetery. A public viewing will commence from 1-5pm, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home-Danville.
