Keith D. Young

Keith D. Young, age 50 of Danville, Illinois, passed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at his home in Danville. Keith was born March 22, 1970 in Danville, the son of Kenneth H. “Sonny” Young, II, and Marcella M. Young.  He attended Danville public schools and graduated from Danville High School in 1988.

Keith was employed by This is it Furniture and Logan Appliances. He was also a self-employed lawncare provider, mover, hauler, auto detailer and handyman. He is a former member of Carter Metropolitan C.M.E. Church.  He enjoyed sports, comedy, detailing automobiles, and spending time with his family and friends.

Keith leaves to cherish his memory and legacy sons; Keith Young Jr, (mother Telisha Williams) both of Wisconsin. Travis Young, Jordan Young Sr, and Kvonte Young. Daughters; Kierra Young, and Kbrianna Young. Stepdaughter; Amber Parker, (mother Tracey Davis), all of Danville. Four grandchildren, Keshaun Young, Kevon Young, Jordan Young Jr, and Kyan Young, and one step granddaughter Jhe’Nyi Parker.  Keith also leaves behind two brothers; Kenneth H. (Cleffonee) Young III, of Danville and Michael E. Young of Maryland, and cousin/brother Cedric Ray Starks of Nevada. Two sisters; Robin R. Smith of California, and Cheryl A. Smith of Danville and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth H. “Sonny” Young and Marcella M. Young, grandson Khalil Marquell Young, and nephew Travis Lee "JR" McCullough.

Keith loved his family dearly and enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will commence at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Leek and Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams Street, Danville. A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. until the time of service. A viewing will commence from 1-5 p.m., Wednesday, January 06, at Leek and Sons Funeral Home. Officiating: Pastor Bobby Keys. Interment: Spring Hill Cemetery. 

Due to CDC regulations, attendance restrictions will be enforced.
