Judith Ann Jones Isom

Judith Ann Jones Isom, affectionately known as “Judy,” was born to Carolyn Jones and Daniel Jordan, Sr., in Decatur, IL, on April 28, 1943.

Judy was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age.  She was a lifelong member of Bethel A.M.E. Church.

Judy graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 1961.  She then proceeded to earn her associate's degree in Nursing from Decatur Memorial Hospital. 

Judy was employed by Mercy/Provena Hospital for 30-plus years.  She was also employed by H&R Block as a Tax Specialist for 40-plus years.

She enjoyed many hobbies, such as bowling and traveling.  Judy was an avid card player coupled with a love of Bingo.  She really enjoyed hosting family gatherings.  Judy worked diligently in her community with several organizations.

Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was an exceptional and genuine friend and outstanding colleague.

She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Todd R. Rogers (Latrice) and Anyeta L. Isom of Champaign, IL and Rachel J. Rogers and Susan L. Rogers of Rantoul, IL; 16 grandchildren, Amber Thomas, Tia Pelmore, Le Daniel Rogers, Lanee Winston, Calvin Winston, Sierra Rogers, Jasmine Rogers, Luke Rogers, Jalen Rogers, Jordan Rodriquez, Jacqueline Gwinn, Hope Rogers, Treasure Rogers, Vonteese Rogers, Serena Hutchison, and Stefan Hutchison; a host of great-grandchildren; brothers, Greg Wade, Kermit Wade and Jack Russell of Decatur, IL, and Kim Wade of Jackson, MI; sisters, Kay Terrell of Ripley, TN, Rebecca Wade-Espinola and Elaine Holmes of Darien, IL; special aunts, Margie Bond of Joliet, IL and Patricia Taylor of Decatur, IL; and, special friends, Mary Perry and Joanne Pelmore of Champaign, IL and Minnie Johnson of Rantoul, IL.
