Juanita Orington Obituary

Juanita Orington transitioned peacefully and gained her heavenly wings on Thursday, February 27, 2020.

She was born the third child of eleven to Benjamin Hosea Sr. and Emma Lou Murrary Beasley on June 18, 1929 in Danville, IL.

Juanita attended Collett Grade School, graduated from Danville High School, and began a long life by which the Lord ordered each and every footstep.  She accepted Christ at a young age and was a faithful member of her family church, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.  In 1950, she married Edward Lincoln Orington and of this union were born two children.  After she was married, Juanita joined her husband's church, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  She served on the trustee board, Ruth Circle Missionary and in later years, the Mothers Board.

Juanita was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.  She was kind, caring, considerate to everyone she met and was gifted with limitless wisdom.  Even up until her death she maintained a sweet and gentle spirit.

She retired from General Electric/Valmont after 42 years of service of which she was very proud.

Juanita leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughter Valerie Orington of Danville, her grandson Scott Orington of Indianapolis, IN;  siblings Donald (Claudetta) Beasley of Champaign, Saundra Beasley and Joy (Andrew) Stafford, both of Danville and Timothy (Twila) Beasley  of New Orleans, LA;

great grandchildren  Ayanna Orington of Phoenix, AZ,  Kaelyn Harden of Tolono, IL Benjamin Miles Nelson-Orington of Indianapolis, IN. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Lincoln Orington, son Dennis Orington,  infant daughter Bonita Orington,  brothers Clarence Beasley, Benjamin H. Beasley Jr., Lawrence "Joe" Beasley,  sisters Helen Anderson, Mary Fultz and Alice Moore.

A special thank you to Suzette Astell-Richardson of Transitions.
