Joseph Anthony Jones

Joseph Anthony Jones was born on October 15, 1989 to Myretta Rochelle Jones and Quonie Bamey in Danville, Illinois.  He was born as the last of 4 children in his family. 

He was also known affectionately by his friends as “Joe Blinks,” or soetimes known as “Jughead” by those who knew & loved him best. 

Joseph enjoyed speding time with family & friends laughing, joking and creating memories.  He attended Danville High School in Danville. Illinois.  Although he was not active in a local church, Anthony believed in the Lord. His infectuous smile and contagious smile will be remembered by everyone he came into contact with.  ]

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his father Quonie Bamey, a brother, Michael F Jones, 3 sisters: Felecia Jones, Sabrina Jones, and Taylor . He is survived by his grandmothers Sabrina Taylor, Ethel Mae Person, a special cousin Anthony Patrick, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, who all loved and will miss him .

Joseph was preceeded in death by his  mother, Myretta Rochelle Jones and his aunt, Mary Lee Coleman, his uncle Raymond Barney, and a brother, Trayshon Taylor.

A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon December 30, 2024 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St., Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service.
