John Henry Robinson

John H Robinson, 93, of Danville, IL passed away at 2:02 am Tuesday September 14, 2021.  He was born March 28, 1928 in Ruleville, MS the son of Hardy Robinson and Lauberta Elley.  John was married to Virginia since 12/23/1973. 

He will be sadly missed by his wife Virginia; children John Robinson Jr, Linda Brooks, Eddie Robinson, Lester Whigum, William Whigum, and Kay Davis; stepdaughters Tammy Candler and Teresa Oatis; Sisters Mary Jane Hale and Pat William; nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.  

 He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, brothers, and children Henreitta, William, Walter, David, and Caroline. 

John worked several jobs during his lifetime and was also self- employed.  He owned a used furniture for 7 years which he enjoyed.  He also enjoyed gardening and praising the lord.  He was a deacon at Word Of Christ Ministry. 

A Homegoing Celebration will commence at 12:00 Noon Wednesday September 22, 2021 at Word of Christ Ministry Church, located at 312 Elmwood. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Officiating: Bishop Edward Reed Sr. Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery. Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St. in charge of arrangements.
