Jimothy (Jimmy) Joe Jackson’s life started in Urbana Illinois on October 3, 1966. He was born at Mercy Hospital to his loving parents Willie Jackson Sr. and Ruth Jackson. Jimmy was married in holy matrimony to Marlene Vinsonhaler on April 24, 2014.

Jimmy graduated from Urbana high school in 1984.  He had many passions during his life and one of the first was baseball. Jimmy played for many Little League teams in the Champaign / Urbana community including the all star team with his Uncle Sammy Colonial Pantry and Alexanders little league. He was recruited by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1985. His professional baseball career ended due to a torn rotary cuff at the training camp in Florida. He loved watching Alabama  and the Chicago Bears football.  He also loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

Jimmy loved fishing, camping and cooking. He loved keeping family close by always having family cookouts for holidays, birthdays or just to get together. He was always the life of the party when he entered the room. One of Jimmy’s favorite things was to make midnight  snacks so he could eat in peace. His last place of employment was cooking at Amber Glen.
