Jimmie Nat Davis Sr. was born March 4, 1932 in West Memphis Arkansas to Henry Davis and Bernice McClinton Davis of West Memphis Arkansas who preceded him in death. He excepted Christ at a early age in his life. He met a beautiful and lovely lady Pearlie Mae Lobley from West Memphis Arkansas and they were married on August 26, 1953. She preceded him in death.

 Jimmie Nat Davis Sr. moved his family to Danville, Illinois where he worked for General Motors in Tilton Illinois and then made a very successful career in his self-employment business as a Metal Recycling Service Contractor. Jimmie was and inspiration to all who knew him. He was a very hardworking man and his greatest accomplishment was his thirteen Children who never hurt or wanted for nothing. Jimmie loved his Children and Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Jimmie welcomed all and loved to feed people and he never met a stranger. He leaves to cherish his memories nine daughters Shirley Davis Cross who preceded him in death (The late Richard Cross of Danville Illinois). Diane Davis (Wayne) Bryant of Danville Illinois, Delores Davis Shack (The Late Donald Shack) of Kokomo Indiana, Carolyn Davis Kirk of Danville, Illinois, Cathy Davis of Danville Illinois, Lisa Davis (Andrew) Jones of Danville Illinois, Jackie Davis of Atlanta, Georgia, Tammy Davis of Danville, Illinois and Gwen Davis of Champaign Illinois. 4 Sons Jimmie (Karen) Davis Jr.  of Kokomo, Indiana, Gary Davis of Ruskin Florida, Randy Davis of Danville Illinois, Anthony Davis of Danville, Illinois. 33 Grandchildren 35 Great Grandchildren and 27 Great Great Grandchildren. Six brothers Henry L. Davis Jr. of Nashville Tennessee, Raymond Savage of Danville, Illinois,  Andrew (Joy) Stafford of Danville, Illinois, Percy McGee of Memphis, Tennessee, Eager Savage of Memphis Tennessee and James (Judith)Stafford of Danville, Illinois who preceded him in death, six Sisters Tureather Watson, Katherine Hawkins, Ella Ellis of Danville, Illinois, Dorothy Davis Clayton of Detroit Michigan who preceded him in death, Bernice Mitchell of Memphis, Tennessee who preceded him in death, and Alice (Leroy) Davis she preceded him in death. A host of Nieces and Nephews and Other relatives and many friends.

A Homegoing celebration will commence at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday January 12, 2021 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St., Danville Officiating Minister Jimmie Davis Jr. A Viewing will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow after at Spring Hill Cemetery.

A Public viewing will be held on Monday January 11, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Leek & Sons Funeral Home.

Due to CDC regulations, attendance restrictions will be enforced.
