Jimette Denise White, 59 of Danville, entered into eternal rest at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2020 at OSF Health Care in Danville, IL. She was the loving daughter of Moses and Mignon Lewis Nolan, and (Jimmie Stevenson). She was born on September 11, 1961 in Danville, IL.
Jimette graduated from Danville High School in May of 1980. Shortly after graduation, she attended Danville Area Community College to pursue an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
Jimette was a member of New Kingdom Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Melissa Forman. Throughout her life, her church experience was a momentous time for her. She enjoyed attending church, Bible study, gospel concerts, and volunteering for many church and local community functions while serving in the Spirit of Christ.
Throughout her life, Jimette delighted in her role as a mother figure to her nieces, nephews, and her foster children. Her utmost joy was sharing her Christian faith with them and to everyone she embraced.
Jimette worked in the nursing and education field for many years. Outside of work, she enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping for antiques and spending time with her family and close friends.
Jimette leaves to cherished her loving memory her siblings, Glenn Profit, JoAnn (William) Keys, Jacqueline Tyler, Fannie (Joseph) Haywood, and Moses Nolan Jr. all of Danville IL, Myra Nolan of Rome Italy, and Janice Nolan of Urbana, IL; thirteen nieces and nephews; and a host of great nieces and great nephews.
Jimette was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Mignon Nolan and Jimmie Stevenson, and her brother Lynn D. Profit.
A public viewing will be held at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St. Danville from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Monday October 19, 2020.
