Janet Kay Clark (Ms. J), 78, of Danville, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 at her home (Holiday Court CILA). Ms. J was born on December 4th, 1943 in Danville, Illinois to Edward Clark and Mary Louise Warfield.
A visitation will commence at 11:00 am on Tuesday July 12, 2022 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St., Danville. Interment will follow after at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Ms. J was a very special person, someone who was deeply precious to her immediate and extended families. Ms. J enjoyed taking her daily naps! But when Ms. J wasn’t taking her naps, she enjoyed listening to gospel music, watching Christian TV and when others read from the Bible to her.
During Ms. J’s residency at Holiday Court, she would participate in community outings and going to lunch with the staff. As a display of being pampered by the staff, she enjoyed hand and feet massages but mostly, she loved having her fingernails painted.
Janet Kay is preceded in death by her parents and her Stepfather, John G. Warfield.
Ms. J leaves to cherish her memories, three sisters, Robin Warfield, Jewel (Grady) Nelson, Melody Warfield all of Aurora, CO, two nephews, Herman (Lacie) Cunningham III of Upland, CA and Johnathon Nelson of Aurora, CO, her extended family at Holiday Court and a host of relatives.
We’re placing Ms. J’s spirit and soul, into the hands of God who loves her and cares for her every bit as much as we do.
