James M. Curry

James M. Curry, 69 of Danville, passed this life on May 5, 2024 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1955 in St. Anne, Illinois. He graduated High School in Bloomington IL and served 14 years proudly in the U.S Army.  James married the love of his life Deanna Hardman on November 20, 2004 in Danville IL. 

James love the lord and served him until the end. He was an avid sports and enjoyed especially playing golf. He loved to spend time with family and friends. James formerly worked for the Danville Rescue Shelter. He had a passion in helping the homeless. He worked for the VA Illiana Healthcare systems in the Housekeeping department.

James leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Deanna Curry of Danville, his step-sons; Charles Hardman and William Towell III both of Danville. Two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends that he loved dearly. 

A homegoing celebration will commence at 12:00 Noon Wednesday May 15, 2024 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Danville National Cemetery.
