He joined Truth Pentecost Christian Center under the leadership of Apostle Charlotte F. Blissit on February 5, 2017, where he served as a Deacon, Deacon Trustee, and in the Men’s Department. He worked faithfully in various Auxiliaries in the ministry. Before that, he accepted the Lord at a young age and was Baptized in Jesus’ Name on May 7, 2017. Also, his Pastor knew him as Philip the Deacon, who preached Christ. (Acts 8:5). He was always encouraging and witnessing to others about the saving grace of God. He believed in his heart at some point all will be saved before the PAROUSIA. His faith was constant and never divided. He allowed God to be his perfect companion on his life’s spiritual journey, which made Deacon Perkins disciplined in the Spirit of God.
Some of his hobbies were reading the Bible, which his most memorable passage was Psalm 23. He loved to cook cuisine meals, play basketball, and spend time with his wife, Marilyn, and sons whom he loved dearly.
