Hugo Perkins Obituary

Hugo Perkins was born November 25, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN to Ray Rivers and Maxine Grace Hooser Perkins. At the age of 62, Deacon Perkins
transitioned to the loving arms of God Thursday, December 19, 2019 at OSF Hospital.
Deacon Hugo Perkins married Marilyn (Evans)Perkins on March 25, 2009; she survives him. Also surviving him are five sons: Joseph L. Perkins of Naples, FL, Matthew W. Perkins of Champaign, IL, Jamie A. Perkins, Timmarion I. McCullough, and Malachi J. Perkins all of Rantoul, IL; five sisters: Francetta Perkins, Shirley E. Perkins, Peggy A. Perkins, Marcia Perkins all of Indianapolis, IN, and Loretta Perkins-Thompson (Eugene) of Rantoul, IL; three brothers: Robert L. Perkins, Henry Perkins all of Indianapolis, IN and James (Renee) Perkins of Albuquerque, NM; one grandson, Jace A. Perkins and a host of treasured nieces and nephews. Deacon Perkins was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: Michael T. Hooser, Ray Rivers Perkins Jr., and David Perkins.
Deacon Hugo Perkins graduated from Northwest High School in Indianapolis, IN in 1975 (circa). He was a Welder at Eagle Wings for 18 years and at Guardian West for eight years.

He joined Truth Pentecost Christian Center under the leadership of Apostle Charlotte F. Blissit on February 5, 2017, where he served as a Deacon, Deacon Trustee, and in the Men’s Department. He worked faithfully in various Auxiliaries in the ministry. Before that, he accepted the Lord at a young age and was Baptized in Jesus’ Name on May 7, 2017. Also, his Pastor knew him as Philip the Deacon, who preached Christ. (Acts 8:5). He was always encouraging and witnessing to others about the saving grace of God. He believed in his heart at some point all will be saved before the PAROUSIA. His faith was constant and never divided. He allowed God to be his perfect companion on his life’s spiritual journey, which made Deacon Perkins disciplined in the Spirit of God.
Some of his hobbies were reading the Bible, which his most memorable passage was Psalm 23. He loved to cook cuisine meals, play basketball, and spend time with his wife, Marilyn, and sons whom he loved dearly.
