Mrs. Helen Peggy Ann Dumas Clark gained her heavenly wings on Friday, August 13, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born in Danville, Illinois on June 27, 1935, the daughter of Albert Jr. and Ethel Dupree Dumas. She was united in marriage to Albert Tina Clark, Sr. on October 4, 1952. To this union they had nine children. She was a blessed, loving, and caring wife for sixty six years. She was a mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great- great- grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She formerly worked at the Deluxe restaurant and Lake ViewHospital before becoming a homemaker. She attended Danville Public School and later received her G.E.D.
Mother Clark was a faithful member of Collett Street Church of Christ, where she served faithfully as the church mother and greeter. She enjoyed reading, studying her Bible, and listening to gospel music.
She loved spending time with her family, walking, and playing cards with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed her vegetable garden, flower beds, and had a terrific “green thumb”.
She had a passion for game shows, friends, and family gatherings, card playing, laughing, and talking.
Mrs. Clark leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Albert Clark Jr. of Kokomo, Indiana, Anthony Clark, and Cedric Clark of Danville; six daughters: Arnell Fultz, of Danville, Mary Beasley of Phoenix, Arizona, Delphina Robertson of Danville, Donna Wrightman of Tampa, Florida, Patricia (Adolphus) Davenport of Waskom, Texas, and Helen Malone of Los Angles, California; one sister-in-law Johnnie Dumas of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, her five brothers: Albert Dumas, Baxter Dumas, John Dumas, William Dumas, Leon Dumas, and Lenell Dumas and seven sisters: Novella Woods, Stella Maxwell, Marietta Shields, Dorothy Bynum, Arnell Buck, Estella Mitchell, and Bernice Hopper.
The family wishes to acknowledge with a grateful heart, theTransitional Hospice Support Team, all of the health care staff at Carle Hospital. We thank you for all your prayers and support.
A Homegoing Celebration will commence on Friday August 20, 2021 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N Bowman Ave. Danville. Eulogist: Pastor Curtis Hawkins. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Springhill Cemetery.
