Gracie Mae Beasley 76, peacefully transitioned from this life on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at OSF in Danville, Illinois surrounded by her family.
Gracie Mae was born on July 4, 1946. She married Curtis Beasley Sr on January 2, 1972; to this union they had seven children (five boys and two girls).
Gracie attended Danville High School. She then began her life of motherhood.
Gracie loved God with all her heart, she accepted God in her life and attended Tabernacle of Praise and New Kingdom Christian Church. Gracie loved to tune in to hear her son Pastor Terry speak at Taste and See Ministries.
She always loved to hear the word.
Gracie loved her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart. She had a heart of gold and always helped everyone she met. She always had some great comebacks, always made you laugh, and loved to cook. To know Gracie is to know she could cook up some good food. She was a fighter and never gave up, always kept a smile on her face, always encouraged everyone to do right. Gracie loved her sweets. Seeing her children and grandchildren always warmed her heart.
Gracie leaves to cherish her memory, children; Curtis Beasley Il of Rockford, Cozetta Washington of Minnesota, Pastor Terry (Shanae) Beasley of Danville, Charles Beasley of Dallas, Rodney (Lizett) Beasley of Danville, David Beasley, the late Mona (Scott) Thomas, Patrick (Michelle) Beasley of Indianapolis, her grandchildren who she later raised as her own, Scott Thomas Jr of Danville, Courtney Thomas of Danville. Her sisters Lulu Washington, Mary Washington, her brother John Washington all from Mississippi. 18 grandchildren, Curtis Beasley III, Christopher Counce, Lavonna Beasley, Alvin Beasley, Richard Sanford-Beasley, Sallie Sanford- Beasley, Teri Lanae Beasley, Rodney Beasley Jr, Whitney Beasley, Jeremiah Beasley, Shiloh, Beasley, Noah Beasley, Ian Beasley, Patrick Beasley Jr, Markyona Morris, Destanae Beasley, Pajarion Beasley, Kendal Jackson, Koewyn Rose. Gracie leaves a host of great-grandchildren and her special friends Ernestine Tolefree, Joyce Roberson, Rachel Cunningham.
Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Curtis, her brother and her daughter Mona.

A Homegoing Celebration will commence at 12:00 Noon Thursday April 13, 2023 at Tabernacle Of Praise 610 Robinson St, Danville. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Springhill Cemetery.
